You might think “it figures” when you consider that I…..have a good sense of humor. Good grief, I'm married to a self proclaimed comedian...I have to! :)


You might wonder about my sanity if you knew that I…..took all three kids to the mall today.


You might think I’m weird if you knew that I……talk to myself (sometimes I even answer myself. I like to think of it as intellectual conversation).


You might laugh to know that I…..tripped and got my foot/leg stuck in a sewer drain.

Good news! We received our first call to show our house tomorrow between 5pm and 6pm. Please keep us in your prayers while we try to sell our house. I KNOW God call sell this house even when it seems like the odds are stacked against us.

Rewind...

Let's rewind to Sunday, January 25 - My baby boy's 3rd birthday.

Ben is ~

~ lovey (he is always telling me he loves me and giving kisses)

~ a sports fanatic (the kid loves every sport...he is even a pretty good bowler)

~ handsome (those big blue eyes and cute smirk are a killer)

~ stubborn (well, he is his father's child...lol)

~ funny (he even laughs at himself :)

~ energetic (the kid just runs to run)

~ a wonderful big brother (he is always loving all over Ellie...he is very protective of her)

~ my only son (and he is a mama's boy...I love it!)

~ shy

~ 3 years old today

The Night That Wouldn't End

Have you ever had one of those days/nights when nothing went right? When you're pretty sure you should just stay in bed? When you think it's time to check yourself in because your sanity is on it's way out? Well, I had one of those nights. Monday night to be exact. Here's how it all went down...

Midnight - finally get to bed after Ellie's last feeding and changing

1:30am - get up with Joselyn because she has to go potty, get a drink and more cold medicine

3:30am - Ben woke up wet with pee from his armpits to his toes. I crawled back into bed around 4:00am after washing him up, changing his pjs, tearing his bed apart, throwing the wet laundry in the washer and fixing up his bed.

5:00am - Joselyn is back up in need of another drink

5:30am - Ellie is up because she thinks she needs to eat or something

5:45am - I have Ellie half way through the eating process when she fills her diaper. I lay her on the floor, wash up her little bottom and slip the new diaper under her. I lift up her legs to straighten out the diaper and she take that opportunity to poop. It goes all over the carpet and my leg. I get her cleaned up, scrub the carpet and change my clothes. I get back in bed around 6:15am.

8:00am - Ben wakes up wet again. That's right, he peed his bed again. At 8am I was giving him a bath and tearing his bed apart yet again.

The Dentist and a Baby?

Yesterday afternoon I was sitting in the kitchen talking with Ben. I happened to glance over at the calendar and saw that I had a dentist appointment scheduled for this afternoon. I told Ben that I had a dentist appointment to which he replied "Because you have a baby in your tummy?" HA - I had to laugh. For whatever reason, the kid gets the doctor and the dentist confused.

No, I do not have a baby in my tummy! :)

Fire Breathing Dragon?

The cold germs have been flying around the VanDussen household something fierce. Joselyn has a runny/stuffy nose, drippy eyes, sniffles and a cough. Last night, she woke up in a coughing fit. She could not stop and it ended in Nathan holding her over the sink while she was throwing up at 2:30am this morning. We got her all cleaned up, drugged up and tucked back into bed when she says to me, "Mom, you know when I was puking and that stuff was coming out of my mouth? Didn't I look like a fire breathing dragon?" LOL The girl has watched way to much Sleeping Beauty lately!

Her Royal Highness

This just cracks me up so, I had to post it.

I took this picture when we got home from Joselyn's birthday party. She had a princess party (of course) and she dressed up like Snow White. When we got home, she had to go potty (real bad) and didn't want to take the dress off (heaven forbid). So, here she is in all her glory. Princess Joselyn sitting on her throne! :)

~ friendly (she is always introducing herself to kids at the playground)

~ my first born (I fell in love the second I laid eyes on her)
